ǹvlogҳ Genuine Parts Terms and conditions

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all sales of ǹvlogҳ Genuine Parts by ǹvlogҳ New Zealand Limited (“ǹvlogҳ”) or its authorised dealers.

2. Consumer Purchasers
If you are acquiring goods as a consumer, as defined in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA):

  • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the CGA.
  • You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a failure of substantial character.
  • You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a failure of substantial character.

Subject to these non-excludable rights, and to this express warranty, all other terms, conditions, warranties, representations, or undertakings (whether express or implied) which may lawfully be excluded or limited are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded.

Where permitted, ǹvlogҳ’s liability is limited, at its sole discretion, to repairing or replacing any defective part, or paying the reasonable cost of such repair or replacement.

3. Business Purchasers

If you are acquiring goods for business purposes, including fleet or commercial operations:

  • You agree that the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 do not apply.
  • All other terms, conditions, warranties, representations, or undertakings (whether express or implied) are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded or limited.
  • ǹvlogҳ’s liability is limited, at its sole discretion, to repairing or replacing any defective part, or paying the reasonable cost of such repair or replacement.

This applies to all commercial or business customers, regardless of size, except where statutory law cannot be excluded.

4. 12 Month Parts Warranty
ǹvlogҳ warrants that each new ǹvlogҳ Genuine Spare Part sold by it, or by an authorised dealer or distributor, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.

  • Warranty obligation: Repair or replacement, at ǹvlogҳ’s discretion, of any part found to be defective following inspection at an authorised ǹvlogҳ branch or dealer.
  • Coverage: The warranty applies for the first 12 months after installation and is unlimited in kilometres and operating hours.
  • Labour: Labour associated with the repair or replacement of a defective part is covered only where the part was originally fitted by an authorised ǹvlogҳ workshop or repairer.
  • Maintenance: Serviceable components must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

5. 24 Month Repair Coverage Policy
From 1 January 2026, all Genuine parts fitted by a ǹvlogҳ repairer or authorised agent carry an additional 12 months of coverage, in addition to the 12 Month Parts Warranty. For months 12–24 after installation, ǹvlogҳ New Zealand provides a coverage policy for eligible Genuine ǹvlogҳ parts, subject to the following conditions:

  • Fitted by ǹvlogҳ: The part must have been fitted at a ǹvlogҳ repairer or authorised agent.
  • Limits: Coverage is limited to a maximum of 300,000 kilometres or 5,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.
  • Nature of coverage: This coverage is not a warranty and does not create legal rights under warranty law.
  • Consequential damage limitation: For the period described in this section (months 12–24 after installation), components that are consequentially damaged as a direct result of the failure of a covered component are included, provided that the vehicle has been maintained by an authorised ǹvlogҳ workshop during the coverage period. In all other circumstances, consequential damage is excluded.
  • Discretion: Any repair or replacement under this policy is provided at ǹvlogҳ’s discretion and is subject to inspection and approval by an authorised ǹvlogҳ branch or dealer.

6. General
ǹvlogҳ reserves the right to determine, at its discretion, whether a part is defective.

  • This warranty does not cover misuse, accident, neglect, improper installation, or modifications
  • These Terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
