Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ engine fuel efficiency and performance

Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ engines are designed to maximise fuel efficiency and performance across long-distance operations. The Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Super 11- and 13-litre engines improve brake thermal efficiency and reduce fuel consumption by up to 8% compared to previous generations. This is achieved through advanced engine design and the Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Twin-SCR system, which optimises emissions control while maintaining high engine performance and uptime.ÌýThe result is lower operating costs and improved sustainability for transport operators.

Gearbox options

Our comprehensive gearbox range can be adapted to all types of transport. For improved drivability, our 8- and 12-speed gearboxes can be fitted with Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Opticruise and Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Retarder. Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æâ€™s new Opticruise G33CM gearbox, available for the high-out­put 13-litre 500 andÌý540 hp engines, as well as all 16-litre V8s (except 770 hp).

8-speed

The virtue of this gearbox lies in its simplicity. Rugged and compact, there are no crawler ratios and the smooth, positive action makes gearchanging easy. Options include Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Opticruise, Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Retarder and a selection of power take-offs.

8+1-speed

This gearbox offers similar advantages, together with an extra crawler ratio. Based on a 4-speed box, plus a planetary section, its strength is more than a match for the high-torque output of any Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ inline engine. Options include Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Retarder and a selection of power take-offs.

12-speed

This gearbox is built to tackle the most challenging terrain, making it the perfect choice for demanding long-haulage. Its closely stepped ratios combine light weight with ease of driving with exceptional operating economy.

12+2-speed

For applications that demand extra low-speed pulling power, this gearbox has two extra crawler ratios. Designed for optimised economy, it has proved highly successful for both long-distance and regional distribution, as well as heavy construction applications. The overdrive versions offer higher torque capacity, plus overdrive for low and economic cruising revs. Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Opticruise and Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Retarder, as well as a selection of power take-offs, are available for all range-splitter gearboxes.

Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æâ€™s Opticruise gearbox platform, available in three performance steps G25, G33 and G38Ìýdelivers improved and speedy gearshifting in combination with excellent comfort and fuel savings of one percent.

The Opticruise’s fully automated clutch control, which allows for precision manoeuvring and smoother gear performance, is complemented by a wider, more efficient 14-gear spread, and new technologies such as variable oil volume and oil spray function to improve gear lubrication and reduce internal losses.

The platform also introduces a new compact, geometric design, as well as low weight cast aluminium housing, resulting in significantly lower sound levels and a reduced component weight of up to 75 kilograms. Additionally, the Opticruise delivers increased uptime and fewer maintenance stops through an extended oil change interval. All this to ensure that your total operating economy is optimised.

The new Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ Opticruise gearbox G33 is available for all V8 engines up to 660 hp as well as the high-out­put 13-litre 500 and 540 hp engines.

Rear axle and gear options

Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ offers a range of single reduction drive axles. Hub reduction is also available in two strengths. The robust and lightweight R756 introduces faster and more efficient gearing, setting new standards for rear axle performance and delivering the improved efficiency range of the Ìǹûvlog¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³°æ powertrain.

Wider gear ratio

The R756 offers a wider gear ratio from 1.95 to 4.11 and is made to master a wide range of vehicle operations up to 53 tonnes GTW.Info point 2 (+ on image)
